For reborn doll collectors and Ashton Drake vinyl dolls?
Can anyone speculate how these dolls will age over the years? Do you think they will retain their texture and color? I'm wondering for doll collectors and those who have invested a lot of money in these dolls.
Ashton Drake dolls and meant to last. I would not worry about them at all. Keep then out of the sun and stored in a dust free area. As for reborns, that depends entirely on the artists skill and what materials they used. I would not consider a doll that was washed with dark acrylic paint inside. The paint may bleed through over time and make the doll look bruised. When buying reborns, look for a good quality doll like ashton drake, secrist or other artist vinyls. Dolls painted with Genesis heat set paint are your best bet. They should last for many years, as opposed to dolls done with oil colors. Hope that helps.

Reborn isn't a brand name, it's what dolls that have been done over to look real are called. Alot of reborn artists use Berenguer dolls.
