What sizes are best for Hujoo and Obitsu sized dolls (specifics in details)?

OK. I'm pretty new at learning about these amazing Japanese and other Asian dolls. I do know what works best for the most part for the 27mm (1/6 scale) Obitsu dolls. However, for the 21-23cm sized Obitsu dolls, I don't, except for eye sizes. Does anyone know what wig sizes are best for these sizes? I do know that 4"/ 9-10cm wigs fit best for the 27cm.....

Now, I'm learning also about these neat Hujoo dolls. They are 24cm tall but have big heads, which is the ONLY thing I do know about them. Does anyone know what the head sizes are, what eye sizes, in mm, fit best, and what sized wigs fit best for these types?

Thanks for the help and answers.

You just need to decorate it! Make little outfits for it out of construction paper. Get a doll wig and style it for your mushroom cap. Perhaps try a scent, dabbed at the base, just a little, though-you don’t want to be a tramp.

I actually bought Leya from Dream of Doll a few years ago, so I think I can help here. Unfortunately for that doll, her outfit is not available anywhere. It was a custom or something that they no longer have the rights to produce, so unless you can make it yourself, that particular outfit isn't available for purchase. As for her random eyes and random wig, it's just as it sounds. They randomly pick a wig and eyes to go into the doll and ship her with those. You don't have any say in the matter as to what she will come with, although I have heard of some people asking for particular colored eyes in the past. Also, she won't come with her face painted unless you tell them to, so make sure if you want her to have blush/lipstick/eyelashes and such you select that option or she will arrive with a completely blank face.

AGs are wonderful. I would suggest buying a doll on ebay and then joining a fan community where some of the more avid doll collectors can help you restore/modify the dolls. You may even be able to find a nice knockoff 18in doll and buy a separate doll wig to (fight with) modify.

When I'm out of school and have enough spending money I would love Felicity and Elizabeth. I adore the American Revolution.

(And that was an excellent post about the Depression and the current Recession.)

I love your choice for the hair.
I am with you on the childhood dislike of that mohawk hairdo. My most recent dolls, still being made, happen to be the size to fit a doll wig belonging to a Korean doll who resides in my house. She loaned her wig to the little bald sisters to try on and now they demand realistic hair! These dolls have molded paperclay faces and seem to require different hair than the purely cloth dolls I usually make. But bought wigs are not in the budget so I cut up garage sale wigs, purchased cheap for costuming events that arise.

I have ordered some Tibetan Lamb for wigs for the next dolls.

all – lest i give you the impression that i crafted this thing from three pieces of felt and a shoestring -

    a) it's not nearly as hard as it looks

    and

    b) i am the queen of outsourcing. long live google!!

i bought the muslin doll body at our local craft store. yes, they sell doll bodies – you do not have to design them, sew them or even stuff them. all pre-done.

the hair was a struggle – a blond afro doll wig is a tough call, but google didn't let me down.

then came the clothes. i knew i was over my skis with the clothes. creating tiny little doll shirts and pants is way, way beyond my skill level. and so, i googled. and googled and googled and googled. and i found my angel.

kris was a godsend. i told her my story – odd as it was – and pled for her help. she graciously let me bombard her with photos (and even videos) from the movie and she (seemingly) never lost patience with me. i'm fairly certain this is not her typical job and i was definitely not her typical customer.

i was really, really, really impressed by her work. it was quick, incredibly well done and VERY fairly priced. i will be forever in her debt.

so if you ever need any custom doll clothes, PLEASE drop her a line and tell her the crazy godspell lady sent you. :)

It's bad. If you don't know the girl (as a friend) no point trying to apporach her. Also it's too f*cking long.
