kaiser porcelain where do I find valuation of figurines?
I am selling figurines and car models etc for my father on trade me, and ebay etc. Where do I find out what these ornaments actually are worth. Like i.e a figurine from Kaiser Porcelain ( german) the thoroughbred mare and foal made by wolfgang gawantka. If you have any idea I would love to hear it.
If the figurines are still in production the original manufacturers websites should give you the current retail prices.
It is likely that most of what you are looking to sell are retired or discontinued pieces so you will want to find a secondary market price guide. In many cases such a price guide may not exist and the only way to find the approximate values will be to find others selling the same or similar items.
Kovels.com provides online price guides but they may not cover everything you have and they charge an annual fee to access their pricing sources. Amazon and other good book sellers offer printed price guides for many makes. Specialized figurine retailers like woolvey.com and replacements.com may be good sources for price comparisons too.
