Any suggestings for "weeding" through my belongings before my move?
I am 28 years old and I have too many things!! When I moved out of my house at 18 I took everything with me. I have all of my childhood stuff. I love clothes and I started collecting all kinds of things. I have old presents that were given to me such as stuffed animals, porcelain dolls, angels, pictures, beauty products, shoes.....the list goes on and on. A lot of the things I own now, I see my old self. For some reason I have grown close to some of the clothes that I will never fit in again.....or possibly may. I told myself that I had to go through all of my belongings and weed out knick knacks, memorabilia, and old clothes. It may just be me but it is hard to throw away items that hold so many memories. Any suggestions?
Get decent sized box...Put a label on it ...Call it ......Pieces of Me.
Limit memorabilia artifacts clothing ectra to that box. If it doesn't fit - it doesn't go.
The rest is gone...Donate it give it away throw it out...Be gone.
Once a year go through your Pieces of Me box. Sit with a glass of wine and some old tunes. Add a note to the box put the year on it and seal it. Your goals, aspirations, and an accounting of the good things and the bad that happened that year.
