Pixie Porcelain
Getting creeped out so can you tell me what this doll is called?
Ok. For christmas i got this doll from my grandpa. Its head, hands, and feet are porcelain. Its in a suit that makes it look like its a joker or something. The suit is big and puffy with orange,green,and yellow stripes. It has shoes that are like genie shoes and they arent flat but as if it were wearing mega high heels. It has no hair but the porcelain is painted to make it look like a pixie cut. It has a flower on the painted hair too. All I know about the dool is that it was made in the 1700s , it might be chineese (not sure though) , and it comes alive at night suppododely. Do you know what this doll is called or anystories like this doll. THANKS!
It sounds like a representation of Harlequin, a trickster from an Italian play popular in England in the 17th and 18th centuries
