How to Create Porcelain Doll Bodies : Porcelain Doll China Paint
How do I disguise a hairline crack in porcelain or china?
Does anyone know of a trick to camouflage a hairline crack in an item made of china? I seem to remember something about boiled milk??
Hi, this might sound slightly mad, but it does work...i've tried it. if it's an old crack it will need to be cleaned. soak over night, or till the crack is almost invisible to the eye, in house hold bleach. DO NOT do this if the china is decorated with gold leaf. once thoroughly dry rub the crack over with hand cream (handcream - oily enough to hide the crack, not greasy enough to make a mark under the glaze)
I liked how you took one for the 360 team and showed Anderson how to use his birthday gift. It was clear he had absolutely NO idea what was going on. It was really funny. He looked incredibly uncomfortable. Anyway, you know that show on another network “The Antiques Roadshow” where people bring in their stuff sometimes on flatbeds and maybe are lucky enough to be on TV and get the good news. Well one time I watched it and a guy who appeared very prepared claiming his antique item had been appraised before and that his mother was a appraiser. Well he was totally humiliated on national television! Not only was his antique porcelain china dish bowl not from this restaurant that our George Washington went to. It wasn't even dated back to that time period. The guy was not happy and his face red. Some people who are not prepared are very lucky. That guy with that beautiful gold cup and that is pretty was very very lucky. It makes me want to check my boxes etc.
Soon you won't be able to call porcelain “china” as it is demeaning and hurts the feelings of Chinese everywhere and now that they can walk in space and everything!
