The Over The Counter Bulletin Board is not an exchange. Its a quote system for companies that dont meet specifications for listing on an exchange. Over the counter is when there is no central place or exchange where the stock is traded. Its traded directly by market makers over an electronic system or over the phone.
So glad you guys had an awesome time! I totally get what you mean about internet relationships… I have a group of about 40 women that I consider my best friends. We met on a bulletin board when we were all trying to have our first babies and 4.5 years later we’re all still chatting daily! I’ve met a handful of them IRL and if someone observed us hanging out they never could have guessed we’d never actually ‘met’ each other!Anyway, I’m saying some prayers for that little girl, too! She looks like an awesome kid
Safe at home in Brisbane, Australia, working. It was about 11pm I think (I worked for a UK company, so kept night-owl hours), when I saw a post on a bulletin board asking “WTF just happened in New York?”. We switched on CNN and the first tower was smoking. My fiance (now my wife) and I spent the next few hours watching it all unfold, while I chatted with friends online. We all agreed that the world had now changed; some thought it was the beginning of WWIII, others just that nothing would be the same. I didn’t have any friends in New York, or even know anyone close to it, but after moving to London and being here for the July 7, 2005, bombings of the underground and bus I came to know how it feels to be under attack. (Overdramatic, I know, but my wife worked just a few of blocks from where the bus was bombed).
Music kills my ears.
I think bulletin board material might be the most overrated topic in the history of college football. Does any sane person here actually think that UGA would have lost the 08' WLOCP by any fewer points had we not stormed the field in 07'? If you do, then I'd like to ask you what disrespect we did to Alabama that caused them to lay the hammer down on us in 08'. If you believe that the reason we're not beating the Gators on a consistent basis is bulletin board material… well…. bless your heart.
It's a wonder the memo doesn't say your job has been taken to China or Honduras.
Thats what we were told and they even showed us a video of the slaves that took our jobs and how badly they needed them.
It's not a republican or democrat thing. It's globalization and seems that both sides are selling us out. Trickle down economics from the republicans and NAFTA from the democrats. I feel your frustration because I have been through it too.
Globalization isn't working for America plain and simple. The good news is Bush plans to extend your unemployment benefits for another 26 weeks. Good Luck.
Oh, how interesting, March is national craft day… so you are going to make your own ribbon bulletin board?
I just plywood for the ones I made and you are right, I just stapled the fabric on the back. Did you find the Martha Steward ribbon bulletin board tutorial (including a little video) on my blog? But compared to her, I put a non-woven internlining between plywood and fabric (to be stapled separately as a first step)!
Good luck for your board and don't hesitate to drop me a line if you have any further questions!
Best wishes from freezy Germany (winter came back last night!)
Anita
Bulletin boards: Bugs
yes if the board is like soft enough or if the scissors are sharp enough
verb-subject agreement
the verb form (whether singular or plural) should follow the subject. in your example: there WAS a Peanuts cartoon and a few Mother Goose rhymes pinned to the bulletin board.
subject is cartoon – singular so use the singular verb form – was
this sentence actually has 2 subjects; the other is "mother goose rhymes"….in cases like this, the verb form follows the subject closest to it – cartoon
grammatically, it is better to say -
There was a Peanuts cartoon and a few Mother Goose rhymes pinned to the bulletin board.
_____________________
nena is VERY sure of her answer…here's the rule
When the parts of a compound subject are joined by
"or, but, either … or, neither … nor, not only … but also"
the verb must agree with the subject nearest to the verb.
Examples:
Neither the Oregon players nor the coach was overconfident.
Neither the Oregon coach nor the players were intimidated by Arizona.
very easy to follow – when in doubt
_______________
last correction: 2nd subject of your sentence is "few" – which is singular so the verb form "was" is really correct. now, nena can sleep soundly
____________
back again: I will just email it to you.
I post here what I feel. This is my forum. I do not go “other places to get filler” for this site. I initially found that area of the bulletin board after getting answers to some heating questions I had. I was surprised that there were so many great posts on it, and thought “wow… a place where real conversations are taking place about relevant issues.” Then the attacks started. I did not deliberately go out to bait people.
And for those who think I am hiding something, here is the link to the bulletin board in question. You can see all my posts there if you want. I have nothing to hide. I just hope anyone who visits also will see all the hatred that is displayed from those who claim to be on the side of justice and moral uprightness.
