Porcelain Doll Manufacturers
Tall dolls between 3ft-4ft?
I'm new to the world of doll collecting, I basically would just like to know which manufacturers make dolls that stand between 3ft to 4ft high?
The material of the doll doesn't really matter, Vinyl or Porcelain etc.
Patti Play Pals are the most famous for the collectible Dolls They were made by Ideal Late 50's through the 60's. They have held their value while the newer dolls have not done so. Here is a link so you can see them.
Its a big family of them,
1959-1961 Patti Play pal, 35" tall, she is the same size as a three year old child, marked on head: Ideal Doll Toy Corp./G-35 or B-19-1. In 1982 they issued a black Patti Play pal version. Later issue's do not have sleep eyes.
Their were several hair styles and colors issued, as well as several family members at various ages, all made life sized.
Many other companies jumped on these large sized Play pal type dolls with their own versions, as they were so popular.

how do i find out what old dolls are worth?
I have a lot of old dolls here that have no year, manufacturer or anything else on them. how do i find out their worth? they are very old. they are not barbies, they are mostly cloth and some are porcelain. thank you
