how do i identify a porcelain dolls markings?
we have a beautiful jointed porcelain doll that we are trying to identify who made it and where it has a star of david on its neck and the name betty jackson with the number 114 below the star of david and cant seem to find information on this doll
you have a reproduction done by betty jackson of K star R vintage doll maker from Germany. Try to find a reference book with vintage German bisque dolls in it and look up your mold number 1114, it will give you the name of the particular doll. Good luck. dazendreamodolls

My BJD Making
I have an antique doll for sale. 1800s. German or French came back for the Boar War!?
She has a porcelain head, with jointed composite body. It is an heirloom but I no longer have anybody to leave her to, so I wish to sell. Can anybody help me with this please. (Not ebay as I don't know how to use it) My Great, Great,Great Uncle brought her back from the Boar War for my mother initially.
You need to look on the back of the head for the mold number, so the buyer will know which factory this doll came from. Show a picture as well. this should help you pick up some interet in your doll.
I will be able to give you a price if you wish I do and am an appraiser. But I have to know what it looks like and the condition.
