MY grandmother just passed on after almost 10 years of having parkinsins disease, she had this beautiful porcelain doll that I've adored since I was 3 years old, I used to go over there and play with it, we had tea parties and conversations, and I was always sad when I had to leave because I had so much fun with that doll. When she passed I immediately said that I wanted that doll to my dad and his brother and sister agreed I could have it. I went with my dad this morning to pick it up he was in the house taking a chair and I was carrying the doll who was sitting on her chair down my grandmothers wheel chair ramp as I was walking down I slipped down the ramp and skidded across the concrete, the chair fell and the dolls face broke into peices, I managed to collect all of them, if i send it out to a doll hospital can it be fixed. I will be so mad at myself for the rest of my life if it cant....
It should be able to be fixed if you send it to a proper doll repair shop. You can look some up on Google and look at customer reviews. Don't feel bad because it was an accident and there was nothing you could've done to prevent it
How to Create Porcelain Doll Bodies : Porcelain Slip for Doll Making
OK to use porcelain tiles outdoors?
They would be good quality and have a rough non-slip surface. One tile shop says yes, the other says no, they might crack or lift. This one says you should only use a natural material like slate or sandstone outside. Who should we believe?
HI, the answer depends on your geographical location...If you live in and environment that does not freeze there is little worry, short of proper substrate prep. but in an environment where the temps go below freezing you "can" but check for the following... The porcelain tiles must have a "moisture absorption" of .05 or less this rating is available from any quality flooring retailer (and that doesnt mean big box retailers, the internet, or your local handyman) go to a quality reputable tile/flooring dealer they will be able to get you these specs, it is crucial to ensure the tile does not absorb moisture and then crack when it freezes...then be sure to prepare the substrate properly (flat, smooth, stable) AND use a freeze/thaw stable outdoor thinset mortar (I recommend a modified version PLUS buying an acrylic additive to mix with it in place of some of the water, oh yeah and also use this additive in your grout as well) all of this will make the entire installation much more pliable and it will perform for years to come! In extreme cases you may need an "anti fracture membrane underneath, your dealer will be able to assist you with this, BE SURE they are Experienced and Quality conscious!! and Best Of Luck to you, hope this helps!
We got rid of ours. We had it reglazed but eventually that started to flake off. You can buy deep tubs now. They are making a comeback. I've seem them on HGTV. So you'll just have to shop around.

I actually prefer Oxy products for cleaning scummy, built up dirt in the bathroom and the kitchen…
Oxyclean Orange Gel is good for cutting grease and built-up scum. Also, once cleaned Oxy Complete Scrub Free Bathroom gel is great for keeping it clean once you have the build-up off.
Bathfitters can measure your tub and make a custom fiberglass tub that fits right into it with a tub surround finish. We did that and now have a beaufitul new tub with surrount.
