Where can I buy a porcelain soap dish with a washcloth bar for my bathtub?
I'm re-tiling around an old bathtub (which will be professionally refinished) and I want to replace the soap dish with a nicer looking one.
I see lots of porcelain/ceramic soap dishes for sale, but not with a washcloth bar. My tile guy says that the old tubs had these, but not the new ones.
I prefer a recessed or semirecessed one, but will consider a surface mount. It can't stick out too far from the wall because old tubs are rather narrow.
Visit an antique store. I visited one awhile back and had 2 large buildings with any old thing you could imagine. Took almost 1/2 day to look around. Check with the store attendant first as they sometimes have a list of items and locations in their store. For online ordering go to the following;
