Porcelain Doll Shoes I'm going to my first car boot sale at the weekend and was wondering how do i price the items i have for sale
i've a lot of kids clothing which i was thinking of selling for a pound an item they are all in new condition and hardly worn i've got shoes also not worn porcelain dolls action man figures with clothing & accessories kids books crockery bedding and other things i was needing ideas on pricing as i don't want to get ripped off but i don't want to price things too high. All the stuff for sale is in really good condition almost new and i usually send it to the charity shops but i've seen how much they charge for second hand stuff
I participate in a car boot sale once a year with my best mate. My car is always bursting with stuff in good condition and nearly completely empty when I go back home. The thing on prices depends on your objective, do you want to get ride of as much stuff as possible and make a nice cash profit for things you obviously don't need, or do you want to return home to empty your car contents into your garage again. Basically, small price is the key to success. As the day progresses drop the prices, near the end of the day I sell off, a sign stating everythin 1 Euro. Some friends think I'm mad, but what's the point in having a dust collector in my home when I can get a Euro for it and put it towards something I really need or want. The best part of a car boot sale is the peole contact, I love talking to my 'customers', it is an advantage to smile and be friendly. Advice bring a sandwich, drink a little to avoid the loo problem, prepare in advance and have small change, have a bananna bag around your waist for your cash, be dressed correctly for the weather, better overdressed than underdressed and especially have fun. I only wish that I could go with you and give you a hand, I'd love that.
